Brief break from bitter cold
(February 16, 2015) – A quiet and somewhat warmer day is in store for the region as a winter storm impacts the lower Ohio Valley. While skies will be mostly cloudy, temperatures will climb into the teens across the area, coldest NE. On Tuesday temperatures will rise to near 20 with lake effect snow showers developing mainly across southwestern Lower Michigan during the afternoon hours. Much colder air will rush back in Tuesday night into Wednesday with more extensive lake effect snow showers developing. Light accumulations are possible across southwestern Lower Michigan and northern Indiana. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will struggle to climb through the single digits.
