Midweek warm-up, very cold weekend
(February 9, 2015) – A cold night is expected across the area overnight, followed by a warming trend into midweek. Lows overnight will drop into the single digits to mid teens under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Wind chills as low as 5 below zero are possible towards tomorrow morning. High temperatures on Tuesday will be in the mid 20s to low 30s. Highs on Wednesday will range from the low 30s north to near 40 degrees south. Snow chances return to the area Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night, with lake effect snow lingering through Thursday. Another shot of cold air will keep highs in the teens this weekend, with a high probability of below normal temperatures continuing into next week.
