News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:

Simultaneous Drug Raids

Location: 814 Lake Ave apartment #3 and 3025 Plaza Drive

On the 3rd of February 2015 members of the emergency Services Team along with The Fort Wayne Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives served search warrants of 814 Lake Avenue #3 and 3025 Plaza Drive in reference to an ongoing investigation into allegations of armed drug dealing of Heroin, Cocaine and Marijuana.

The search warrant on 814 Lake #3 resulted in the arrest of:

John Bridges Jr., male 35 years of age who was charged with:

  • Dealing Cocaine Level 2 one count
  • Dealing Narcotics (Heroin) Level 3 two counts
  • Dealing Narcotics (Heroin) Level 4 one count
  • Dealing Marijuana Level 6 one count
  • Federal Probation Violation Warrant (weapons violation)
  • Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm Level 4 one count

Yolanda Mcgee, female age 28 who was charged with:

  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance Level 6 one count
  • Neglect of a Dependent Level 6 one count

Found in the apartment was a loaded 380 handgun, approximately 120 grams of Marijuana, 4.6 grams of Heroin and 20 grams of Cocaine.

 

The search warrant at 3025 Plaza Drive resulted in the arrest of:

Bula Surry, female, age 20 who was charged with:

  • Neglect of a Dependent Level 6

Westley Sherrod, male age 20 was charged with:

  • Neglect of a Dependent Level 6
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance Level 6

During the search of 3025 Plaza Drive a loaded 9mm pistol was discovered under a couch cushion in the living room with a 1 year old child sleeping directly over the top of the firearm. Additionally a 3 year old, a 7 year old and a 15 year old were in the residence. Indiana Department of Child Services made the scene and their investigation is ongoing. Approximately 208 grams of Marijuana and a stolen 20 gauge pump shotgun was also found in the residence. Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code made the scene and the house was condemned for numerous violations.

This investigation is ongoing at this time.
