Trine University calendar of events for February

ANGOLA, Ind. (January 30, 2015) – A number of free events are scheduled at Trine University in the upcoming weeks. All of the public events are free unless an admission charge is noted.

Great ideas for business and for technology will be accepted through March 1 for the second annual Innovation Challenge presented by Fifth Third Bank. The contest awards unrestricted cash prizes and is open to everyone. It’s free to enter; contest details and applications are available at innovation1.org.

Tickets went on sale Jan. 30 for the Kenny Rogers concert scheduled for May 8 in the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts, Ryan Concert Hall. Tickets are $50, $75 and $90 and are available at https://trine.edu/furth/. More information.

  • Feb. 4 – JV men’s basketball vs. Adrian College, 5:15 p.m., Hershey Hall
  • Feb. 4 – Men’s basketball vs. Adrian College, 7:30 p.m., Hershey Hall. Admission is $7 per person, $4 for non-Trine students with student ID, free for seniors 65 and older and children younger than 12.
  • Feb. 6 – Wrestling dual vs. Alma College, 7 p.m., Hershey Hall
  • Feb. 7 – Men’s basketball vs. Kalamazoo College, 1 p.m., Hershey Hall. Admission is $7 per person, $4 for non-Trine students with student ID, free for seniors 65 and older and children younger than 12.
  • Feb. 10 – Deadline to sign up as an exhibitor or presenter at Green Expo.
  • Feb. 13 – An Evening of Music, 7 p.m., Fabiani Theatre, Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center
  • Feb. 14 – 12th annual Scholarship Gala, 7 p.m., Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Inc. Athletic Recreation Center. Cost is $75 for individual, $150 for couple, register by Feb. 6 at trine.edu/gala.
  • Feb. 15 – Wind Ensemble, 3 p.m., T. Furth Center for Performing Arts
