After-Hours Club Raided

NAME: Rodney C. Brooks M/B/40 DOB 12/1/74
ADDRESS: 1129 Burgess St., Fort Wayne

CHARGES: Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony) and Possession of Marijuana (Class A Misdemeanor)

LOCATION OF INCIDENT: 415 E. Leith St., Fort Wayne

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Search Warrant

BRIEF SUMMARY OF INCIDENT and/or ARREST:

The Fort Wayne Police Department served a search warrant on and shut down an illegal after-hours club which had been operated in a residence at 415 E. Leith St. on the city’s southeast side. Police had received numerous reports of underage drinking, drug use and sales, prostitution, fights, and gunshots in and around the residence for the past few months. The investigation, which was led by the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, culminated in the early morning raid. Also assisting were the Emergency Services Team, the Vice/Narcotics Division, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, and the Indiana State Police. The St. Joe Township Fire Department was on stand-by with their warming bus, but ended up not being needed.
