Critical Injury Shooting, 800 Hamilton Ave

Victim: Adult Female
On January 14, 2015 at approximately 3:08 hours Officers with The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 800 block of Hamilton Avenue regarding a shooting. An adult female was found in the residence with a gunshot wound and taken to a local hospital in critical condition; where she remains currently. The vicitm was the home owner of the residence and was sleeping on her couch when gunshots penetrated her home from the outside with one stricking her. The other occupants of the residence were sleeping at the time of the shooting and were uninjured.
Currently, information involving this incident is limited. At this time there is no suspect information. The remaining residence of the home were being interviewed for suspect information. The crime scene was being processed along with a neighborhood canvass for witness information.
