Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Cold air relinquishes it’s grip but more snow expected
(January 10, 2015) – The arctic airmass which has plagued much of our region this week will abate this weekend as southerly winds bring warmer air into the area. High temperatures today will be in the low to mid teens with highs rising into the upper 20s to near 30 on Sunday.
Snow will overspread the area during the afternoon hours on Sunday and last through Monday afternoon. Total snowfall amounts will range from 2 to 4 inches SE of us 24 to 1 to 2 inches near Lake Michigan. Some sleet may mix in with the snow along a line from Marion to Lima which may limit snowfall accumulations somewhat.
