City to have a warming station available on Saturday
New location will be Citizens Square’s Omni Room(January 9, 2015) – The City of Fort Wayne will continue to have a warming station available for the public through Saturday.
The Omni Room on the garden level of Citizens Square, 200 E. Berry St., will be open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday. Visitors are asked to enter the doors on the northwest corner of the building.
The warming station is designed for individuals in need of a location to stay warm for a short period of time.
The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department’s Community Center, 233 W. Main St., is open as a warming station until 8 p.m. today.
The City’s Police, Fire, Public Works, and City Utilities departments are all prepared with full personnel in position to respond accordingly to any potential weather situations.
