THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS CANCELLED THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY. THE SNOW WILL TAPER AND END THIS MORNING…THOUGH A DIFFICULT MORNING COMMUTE IS EXPECTED.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER…

* WIND CHILL…PROLONGED DANGEROUS WIND CHILL TEMPERATURES OF 15 BELOW TO 30 BELOW ZERO ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH MIDDAY THURSDAY.

IMPACTS…

* FROST BITE…ANY EXPOSED SKIN WILL BE PRONE TO FROST BITE IN A
MATTER OF MINUTES

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR DEATH IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
