Frigid temperatures & lake effect snow tonight into Thursday night

(January 6, 2015) – Updated snowfall total graphic: Lake effect snow is expected to intensify tonight into Wednesday. Snow amounts are primarily expected to range from 3 to 6 inches, however higher amounts are possible in northern Berrien and Cass Counties in Michigan. Otherwise, expect dangerous cold through Thursday. Daytime highs will range from 0 to 14 above on Wednesday. Overnight lows tonight and Wednesday night will range from 12 below zero to 13 above. Gusty winds will lead to wind chills ranging from -28 to -5 F. Frostbite can form in as little as 15 to 30 minutes with temperatures and wind chills like these, so make indoor plans or ensure to cover up adequately when going outside.
