About the bands:

Wayward Son
Wayward Son is a group of seasoned musicians from Fort Wayne and the surrounding area, playing a variety of ‘70s and ‘80s classic rock hits. Covering artists such as Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Styx, Bryan Adams, and of course Kansas, Wayward Son will cover the many hits of REO Speedwagon. On Facebook.

Grateful Groove
Grateful Groove is all about perpetuating the good vibes in the area by recreating the repertoire of the Grateful Dead … at least trying to cover a pretty large selection of it. Grateful Groove loves nothing more than to see a dance floor full of tail feathers shaking and hoops spinning ’round and ’round. The Grateful Groove will do what it does best and cover the Grateful Dead during Down The Line 9.

James and the Drifters
Less than a month after sharing material, Brent Chamberlin, Kyle Jackson and Tyler Gault hit the studio and in eight hours the three men recorded more than 20 songs. Stylistically, the band has shaken off their dusty folk Americana boots for the tough thick-skinned sound of rock and blues. The band’s fourth album “All That Gold,” was released independently in August 2014. Always up for a challenge, James and the Drifters will cover U2 on the Embassy stage.

Sirface
Sirface has been around long enough to know how to rock a stage! With a new line-up the group is ready to bring a new sound and style to all! The new line-up includes Jared Pagan, Matt Hopkins, Mark Vela and Darrell Robinson and they will rock out to the music of Billy Idol.

Staci Stork
Staci Stork and her most recent band, Scarlett, released an EP (extended play CD) in 2011. Shortly after, their music came to the attention of the crew at an independent record label, Unboxed Records. After importing artists from California and Colorado Unboxed started going through every band in it’s hometown. After listening to hundreds of tracks from dozens of bands there was only one group on the list and that was Staci Stork and Scarlett. Now with a group of different musicians, Staci Stork brings a unique blend of country and rock with just the right amount of attitude to Down the Line 9 covering the music styling’s of Katy Perry.

Sum Morz
This is a new band to the area. Not the same guys with a different name but a whole new sound. Sum Morz takes you back to the old school, cabbage patch moves of the ‘80s, rolls you into the ‘90s, and rocks you into the hip-hop of today. This band will have you begging for “sum” more of Sum Morz when it rocks the Embassy stage covering White Stripes.

APQ-harmonic
The Alicia Pyle Quartet (APQ-harmonic) was officially formed in 2010, forging a creative path for events across Northeast Indiana. The APQ-harmonic loves a good cover and the standards from the jazz era, but it’s favorite signature sound smashes up classical music with Latin/funk grooves and elements of jazz/rock while showcasing original compositions. The quartet will take Down The Line 9 to new heights covering the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra
The Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra brings you world-class funk, hip-hop, R&B and soul music from the ‘70s to today’s greatest hits. Formed in 2014 by Aaron King, the Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra has performed shows at Rock the Plaza, Columbia Street West and the Phoenix. The band also spent time in the studio recording it’s first song, the single, “Elevatin’ the Funk.” In addition the Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra was the 2014 Battle of the Bands XI winners. Tonight they win on the Embassy stage covering Earth Wind and Fire.

Kat Bowser
Kat Bowser is a singer and actress originally from Kansas City. She toured the world with recording artists Oleta Adams and Jon Secada and opened for Tony Bennett. She performed for several years in South Florida with various bands and has been hired to sing at private functions for many people of note including former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, Auto Nations CEO Mike Maroone and former Dell & Motorola CEO Mort Topher. Kat will perform the hits of Queen as part of Down the Line 9.

Good Night Gracie
Good Night Gracie started as the brainchild of guitar player Rob Ruppert and quickly became known around the area as one of Fort Wayne’s best party bands, variety bands, dance bands, and so on. In the last couple of years, Good Night Gracie has branched out into the wedding and corporate event world. But most of the time, you can find Good Night Gracie playing around Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana and on occasion in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and southern Indiana! Good Night Gracie brings the king of pop to the Embassy by channeling the music of Michael Jackson.
