MKM architecture + design partner serves as panelist on “Aging Successfully.”

(December 2, 2014) – MKM architecture + design (MKM) partner, Zachary Benedict, AIA, LEED AP, will serve as a panelist at the Hesburgh Lecture Series “Aging Successfully” on December 10, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Allen County Main Library (Downtown Branch), Meeting Rooms B&C. The free event is open to the public and is organized by the Notre Dame Club of Fort Wayne and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Fort Wayne chapter. In addition to Zachary Benedict, the panel features Cindy Bergeman, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame who specializes in lifespan development including resiliency and aging. The third panelist is Connie Benton Wolfe, President & CEO of Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana.

“Over the next thirty years communities will see rapid growth in their older adult populations,” says Zachary Benedict. “How we think about what is means to ‘age successfully’ is not strictly a matter of personal health, but economic sustainability.”
