The Embassy Theatre and PBS39 request the honour of your presence at a Winter Garden Party inspired by Downton Abbey’s newest season
(November 20, 2014) – Join the Embassy Theatre and PBS39 for a Winter Garden Party on Dec. 28 at 4 p.m. in the Indiana Hotel Lobby at the Embassy Theatre in downtown Fort Wayne. The event, a fundraiser for both the Embassy and PBS39, will feature historic music, games and a special themed “upstairs/downstairs” menu and bar, all inspired by the popular Downton Abbey series. Activities also include a display of authentic 1920’s era dresses, a 1920s themed costume contest and raffle. Tickets for this event are $150 and go on sale to the public on November 21. Tickets are limited.
Following the Winter Garden Party, there will be a screening of the first 60-plus minutes of the first episode of season five of Downton Abbey in the Embassy Theatre before it airs on television. Winter Garden Party attendees will get preferred seating to the preview screening. The free preview screening begins at 7 p.m. The general public seating begins at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28.
The much-anticipated fifth season of Downton Abbey from Masterpiece premieres on PBS39 and other public television stations nationwide on Sunday, Jan. 4.
