City Utilities Recognized for Safety and Quality
Tradition of Excellence ContinuesIndianapolis, Ind. (November 21, 2014) – A strong plant safety record and high quality management of plant lab data and facilities earned Fort Wayne City Utilities two awards from the Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA). Awards for Laboratory Excellence and Excellence in Safety were awarded at the association’s annual conference in Indianapolis today.
The awards recognize staff efforts at the Water Pollution Control Plant.
The safety award recognizes plant procedures to prevent accidents, a strong safety record and a high inspection score. Fort Wayne has won this award for 16 years in a row.
The Laboratory Excellence Award recognizes laboratory techniques and the management and accuracy of our data as well as success in the IWEA inspection process. Fort Wayne has won this award for 12 years in a row.
