20th Annual Fantasy of Lights Opens November 26, 2014

(November 24, 2014) – It is northeast Indiana’s biggest and brightest outdoor holiday light event! AWS Foundation’s Fantasy of Lights in Franke Park opens Wednesday, November 26 at 6 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride in a horse-drawn carriage accompanied by children to turn on the lights beginning this year’s celebration.

In addition to 70 past favorites, visitors will see three new original displays this year that will delight and entertain the entire family!

“Fantasy of Lights is a beloved holiday tradition for thousands of people,” said Lynne Gilmore, executive director. “Kids of all ages enjoy seeing the array of colorful, animated light displays that rekindle the joy and magic of the holiday season.” Last year more than 15,000 vehicles traveled the 1 ½ mile route through Franke Park lined with 70 larger-than-life displays depicting holiday scenes from the whimsical to the sentimental.

Hours are 6 – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 6 – 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The event is open every night through December 31, including holidays. Admission is $5 per car, $10 per commercial passenger van and $25 for buses and trolleys. Horse drawn carriage rides will be available on weekends.
