An update on the Winter Weather Advisory issued for northwest Indiana and southwest lower Michigan:
Winter Weather Advisory
(November 13, 2014) – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for northwest Indiana and southwest lower Michigan until 12pm EST Friday. Additional snowfall totals in the advisory area will be between 1-5″ through Friday morning. Locally higher amounts are possible in southwest lower Michigan. A quick burst of 1-2″ of snowfall is possible in the heavier lake effect snow bands, resulting in significantly reduced visibility at times.
Outside of the advisory area, snow totals will be less than one inch north of US 6 and flurries south. Travel will be treacherous along area roads. Please be cautious while driving. Stay tuned for the latest forecast updates on our website at www.weather.gov/iwx.
