News release from the Fall Home Design Expo:

Wine, art & charity unite for The Indiana Wine Experience Oct. 24

(October 17, 2014) — Wine connoisseurs can enjoy a grape-filled evening by tasting an assortment of wines during The Indiana Wine Experience from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at Fort Wayne’s Memorial Coliseum.

Guests can indulge in food pairings, enjoy music from Joe Justice and enter-to-win an exquisite meal prepared by Taste of Home Cooking School’s Chef Karen Davis, who will share fall recipes and teach step-by-step cooking demonstrations the following day at 11 a.m., 1, 3 and 5 p.m. at the Fall Home Design Expo -same location as The Indiana Wine Experience. Additionally, guests attending the wine event can attend the cooking sessions for free with a ticket stub.

And for the first time, Wine & Canvas will offer guests with little to no painting experience a chance to create personalized art. Painting lessons will be held on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the evening, and guests will take home their very own 8″x10″ acrylic masterpiece.

K105-FM’s Midday On-Air Personality Aricka McCauley will emcee a silent auction and fundraiser to benefit the Fort Wayne Children’s Foundation, an area nonprofit whose mission is to help prevent child abuse.

Admission is $19 per adult (age 21+), or $30 per couple. Advance tickets are available through FallHomeShow.org. Every paid ticket gets free access to the Fall Home Design Expo, which runs Oct. 24-26 at the Coliseum.

For the second consecutive year, the expo remains a central hub for homeowners to connect with scores of high-quality home improvement exhibitors as it relates to kitchens, baths, carpet, doors, windows, insulation, room additions, home building, mortgages, roofing, decks, cabinets, refinishing, basements and much more.

Special features include a new fun fall kids zone featuring face painting and balloon art, as well as a safe indoor trick-or-treat and costume contest from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. Cambria will give away a vanity countertop valued at $2,300, and the Fort Wayne Winter Farmers Market will relocate to the expo on Sunday.

Hours are noon-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Expo admission is $10 for adults, which includes admission to the Taste of Home Cooking School on Saturday. Children 12 and under free. Three-dollar coupons are available on FallHomeShow.org.
