To accommodate the repair, Washington will be closed and traffic will be re-routed north on Fairfield Avenue, west on Main Street and south on Van Buren Street to connect with Washington. Additionally, Broadway will be closed to northbound traffic between Main and Jefferson. The traffic restrictions to Washington and Broadway will begin at 9:00 pm tonight and the streets will open by 6:00 am tomorrow.

About the Ewing Street Sewer Separation Project
The Ewing Street Sewer Separation Project is an important enhancement to the City’s storm sewer system in downtown Fort Wayne. Over the past two years approximately, 6,920 linear feet of pipe has been constructed and added to the existing system. The project will increase capacity to assist with continued business development and it expands the stormwater system which will help us reduce the amount of untreated sewage overflowing into the St. Marys River. Over the past two years approximately, 6,920 linear feet of pipe has been constructed in the downtown area for this project.
