Candidate Morris: Pence misses the mark with preschool snub
(October 16, 2014) – Candidate for state senate Jack Morris released the following statement regarding a decision by the Pence administration to forgo a bid to receive $80 million in preschool funding.
“Every decision must be carefully weighed. After a look at the facts, it certainly seems the governor missed the mark here.
“Quality early childhood education is a building block for future success in school and in life. Our kids deserve that opportunity.
“The bottom line is the governor’s decision means thousands of children will have to wait for their shot at a quality education and that’s not right.”
