This year the Indiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is launching a new locally branded fundraising campaign, the Inaugural Fort Wayne’s Finest Young Professionals who will be honored at the long standing event.

Fort Wayne’s Finest is a group of individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of people with cystic fibrosis (CF). This group is committed to raising critical funds for life-saving research, education and care programs for cystic fibrosis, a fatal genetic disease. Funds raised through this campaign will help spur dramatic advances in cystic fibrosis research and care. Fifty years ago, most children with CF did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, many people with CF are living into their 30s, 40s and beyond.

We believe that the individuals honored during this campaign are invaluable to making a difference not only in their profession, but they also have the ability to positively impact those around them in their daily lives.

The Wine Opener will be the perfect opportunity to meet and mingle with Fort Wayne’s Finest Honorees as well as local and influential business leaders.

“With so much promising research on the horizon, it’s more important than ever that we raise every dollar we can to fight CF and improve the lives of people with this disease,” said Annie Lickliter, volunteer committee member of the Fort Wayne Wine Opener. “We are grateful for the contributions of each volunteer, donor and corporate sponsor who supports the Wine Opener and our Fort Wayne’s Finest. The addition of finest honorees to our Wine Opener has taken us to a whole new level in this life-saving effort.”

Premier sponsors of The Lutheran Health NetworkWine Opener include Lutheran Health Network, Frontier, Physician’s Health Network and Do It Best. Merlot Sponsors are DeKalb Health, Kelley Automotive, Pizza Hut, Raymond James, Wagner-Meinert, LLC., Aunt Millie’s Bakeries, Investment Group at Crossroads Bank, and Old National Bank.
