Broadcaster, author, and children’s advocate Jane Pauley keynotes 2015 Tapestry: A Day For You
(October 13, 2014) — Emmy-winning broadcaster, author, and children’s advocate Jane Pauley will present the keynote the 2015 Tapestry: A Day for You as the keynote speaker. Tapestry takes place Friday, April 24, 2015, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
For decades, Jane Pauley has been one of broadcasting’s most respected and award-winning journalists. Pauley is the recipient of multiple Emmys, the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, the Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding achievement, and the Gracie Allen Award from the Foundation of American Women in Radio & Television. Pauley is a member of the Broadcast and Cable Hall of Fame.
She is a contributor to CBS News’ Sunday Morning and a bestselling author. Pauley was a co-host of NBC’s Today for 13 years, anchored Dateline NBC for more than a decade, and hosted The Jane Pauley Show. Pauley has written two New York Times bestsellers: a memoir, Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue (2004) and Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life (2014) based on her award-winning series on TODAY—2009 to 2013—about people 50+ starting different careers, learning new skills, making a difference or pursuing their dreams.
Not only is she an advocate for children’s health and education, she is also a spokesperson for mental health. A native Hoosier, Pauley has inspired professional women everywhere. She and her husband, Doonesbury cartoonist Garry Trudeau, are the parents of three grown children.
Registration for Tapestry: A Day for You begins Friday, Feb. 20, 2015. Tickets are $65 per person for open seating or $700 for a reserved table of 10. Tickets include breakfast, two breakout sessions, the noon luncheon, presentation of the Parkview/Tapestry Scholarships, and Pauley’s keynote address, as well as shopping in the many booths lining the perimeter of the Coliseum Expo Center.
