Expanded positions build leadership at CLHS

(October 7, 2014) — Concordia Lutheran High School has expanded two positions to continue to strengthen the leadership of the school.

The Rev. Chad Hoover has been called as the director of integrated campus ministry. Along with teaching religion and serving as the religion department chair, Hoover is responsible for integrating the various spiritual offerings at the high school. Among several programs, he will assist Mark Dolde, who leads the Koinonia ministry, and the Rev. Dr. Joe Gudel, who coordinates chapel, as Hoover works to incorporate various ministry opportunities in the school and in the community.

A graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne with a Master of Divinity degree, Hoover previously served as the pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska, Mich.

Alison Eckert has been hired to serve as the director of alumni relations and annual events. In this position, she will build relationships with alumni, along with other constituent groups such as parents and grandparents, to enhance and support their connections with the high school. She also will coordinate annual events such as the yearly Cadets in Cadence auction.

Eckert is a 2001 graduate of CLHS and a 2005 graduate of Purdue University. Before coming to Concordia, she served as the fundraising coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Northern Indiana.

Jill Nichols, a 1979 CLHS graduate, has been serving as the interim alumni director for the past year.
