Barktoberfest: Eagles to help dogs and cats

(October 3, 2014) – The Fraternal Order of Eagles #248 will host their annual “Barktoberfest” on behalf of the Allen County SPCA this Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 1:00-10:00 p.m. Admission is $20 per person and includes a chicken and noodle dinner, select beverages and entry into the $1,000 reverse raffle. Dinner will be served from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and the Revers Raffle Countdown begins at 6:00 p.m. The event also includes a silent auction and bake sale throughout the day. Adoptable dogs will be on-site from 1:00-4:00 p.m. This event is open to the public, and all proceeds will benefit the Allen County SPCA. Last year the F.O.E. “Barktoberfest” raised $9,000 for the nonprofit animal shelter’s operating expenses.

The F.O.E. #248 is located at 4940 Bluffton Road at the intersection of Bluffton and Winchester Roads.
