Barricaded Suspect, 2000 Gilmore Dr.

Date/Time of Incident: October 2, 2014/ 1:54 am

Location of Incident: 2000 Gilmore Dr.

Suspect: Adult Male, No injury

 

On October 2, 2014 at approximately 1:54 am Officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2000 block of Gilmore Dr. in regards to a subject making suicide threats. Fort Wayne Dispatch received a call from the Parkview call center advising there was a subject making suicidal threats.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of Gilmore Dr. and attempted to make contact with the subject. The subject refused to make contact with Police after numerous attempts. The subject would periodically come outside to his porch and taunt and threaten Police. Phone communication was established with the suspect, but he refused to cooperate with Police efforts to speak with him directly.

After continued efforts to make direct contact with the suspect and after repeated refusals on the suspects part to cooperate with Police the EST/CRT Teams were paged out. The Emergency Service Team was able to apprehend the suspect without injury.

This incident remains under investigation by The Fort Wayne Police Department and The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
