Partnership with Fort4Fitness Announced; Vendor Applications Available Now(September 17, 2014) – Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) in partnership with Fort4Fitness are pleased to host the 2014 Barr Street Winter Market season. Our mission is to offer fresh and unique produce, meats, baked goods and homemade crafts in a cultural setting. The market is delighted to feature various local farm and non-farm vendors offering a wide variety of goods.
“Fort4Fitness has had such an incredible impact on our community, and so to partner with them to promote healthy living and buying local is a tremendous honor,” said Ashley Adams, Barr Street Market administrator. “We’ve had an amazing 10th season; what a great way to end the season by kicking off a winter market. A huge thanks to our YLNI board for all their support.”
The Barr Street Winter Market will be hosted in the gymnasium of The Ash Centre, located at 1701 Freeman Street in Fort Wayne. The market will be open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of October 2014 through April 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market will not be open the 4th Saturday in December.
“The Barr Street Market is a great asset to our community,” said Brad Kimmel, Executive Director of Fort4Fitness. “It’s exciting to see the market expand into a year-round initiative in Fort Wayne.
