VOSS Automotive Hosts Ribbon Cutting at Its State-Of-The-Art North American Headquarters
(September 16, 2014) – VOSS Automotive, Inc. (VOSS) announced in October 2012 they would be building a new state-of-the-art North American Headquarters in Fort Wayne. The 14 month construction project included the purchase of 9.5 acres of land at 4640 Hillegas Road, on which VOSS built its new 48,746 square-foot facility. Visible from I-69 near exit 309, the building includes 33,579 square feet of office space, prototype and test lab and 15,167 square feet warehouse.
“The construction of our new North American Headquarters has allowed our company to create a modern office environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration, a workplace where employees can truly enjoy coming to work. We wanted to build our new facility in an area where the workforce already possessed the knowledge, expertise, and technical skills required to become successful here in the United States, and we found that in the greater Fort Wayne area,” stated CEO, Eduardo Vultorius. “At VOSS, we strive to combine the best of all cultures into an atmosphere that nurtures innovation and diversity through teamwork. This new facility is a visible result of this mission.”
“From companies like VOSS Automotive to cultural bonds extending even further, there are many common threads linking Germany and Indiana,” said Governor Mike Pence. “During our jobs mission to Germany earlier this year, I visited VOSS’ operations in Wipperfürth and saw firsthand the quality they work into their products. We are proud that the Hoosier work ethic has helped VOSS reach that same level of quality here in Indiana, creating the need for its new North American headquarters and more jobs for Hoosiers.”
In all, VOSS invested nearly $7.4 million, and will be eligible for a $1.7 million incentive package from the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana Economic Development Corporation, and Northeast Indiana Works which was approved in 2012. Originally founded in Germany in 1931, VOSS established its North American Headquarters in Fort Wayne in 1997. Since then, VOSS has relied on the talent and resources available in Fort Wayne to expand its reach in North America. Over the past 18 months, VOSS has been adding to its local workforce by creating 23 high skilled positions in the areas of quality engineering and design engineering.
