Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Rain leaving the area today, becoming sunny & cooler
(September 6, 2014) – The cold front is now to our south and will continue to pull further away today as high pressure begins to build in behind it. This will cause the rain to leave the area this morning and for the County Warning Area to see decreasing cloudiness this afternoon and drier, cooler conditions. High temperatures today will be much cooler than yesterday, only topping out in the lower 70s.
A small craft advisory is in effect for today for the nearshore waters of Lake Michigan. A Beach hazards statement is in effect for today for dangerous swimming conditions along Lake Michigan due to high waves and strong rip currents.
