Mid-day forecast update
(September 1, 2014) – Mid-day forecast update: Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon across portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. A few of these storms could be strong with isolated damaging wind gusts. Overall, the threat for severe weather is lower than forecasted this morning. A second round of thunderstorms is possible tonight as a cold front moves through. Heavy rainfall is possible with this round, mainly southeast of the US Highway 24 corridor.
