News release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department:
Man Dies After Truck Rolls
On 8/27/14 at approximately 2:35 PM the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle car crash on I49 [I-469] South bound near the 22.4 mile marker. According to witnesses a tan S10 pick-up truck was east bound on Parent Road. (Parent road is just west of I469 where it dead ends.) The driver crashed through the guard rail on Parent Road and hit the embankment. The truck then flipped on it’s top in the south bound lane of I469. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The driver was not wearing his seat belt. This crash remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
