Public invited to join USF for Europe trip

(August 21, 2014) — The University of Saint Francis (USF) has scheduled a spring Europe trip in which the community can participate. “Global Classroom Europe Trip: Paris, London and Madrid” will take place May 4-15, 2015.

The School of Creative Arts (SOCA) and Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership will host the trip. The tour will leave for Chicago by bus from USF, travel to Europe and begin an action-packed tour of the three major European cities. Tour price includes flights, hotels, a light breakfast daily and five dinners, museum entrance fees, tour guides and bus fare. Dates for the trip are subject to change.

Highlights include Big Ben, the houses of Parliament, the National Gallery of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, Piccadilly Circus, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace in London; the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame cathedral, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, the Basilica of the Sacré CÅ“ur, the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles in Paris. In Madrid, the royal palace, Prado Art Museum and Museo Reina Sofía will be toured.

USF students can earn credit hours in the following courses: ART-105 Introduction to Visual Arts; ART-335 Great Art of the Western World; BUS-319 Culture and International Management; BUS-462 International Marketing; and FIN-453 International Finance.
