News release from Wunderkammer Company:

Wunderkammer Company presents W<shop anniversary and neighborhood block party on July 20

(July 10, 2014) – Wunderkammer Company is proud to present a full day of programming celebrating the one year anniversary of W<shop, a quarterly arts marketplace, and pairing this up with a neighborhood block party, July 20th, from 12-7pm at 3402 Fairfield Ave, 46807.

W<shop is a one-day, quarterly pop up shop which has become a successful way for local artisans to present their products to the community and build their brands and understanding of their unique markets. This is a great opportunity not only for these artisans to have a physical storefront, but for an interested public to peruse a wide variety of locally made products.

Past W< SHOPs have included cheeky handcrafted chocolates, unique jewelry, vintage fashion finds, and locally pressed paper products. The shop will be open from Noon to 7pm.

Our Courtyard Cookout event, occurring simultaneously, is a cookout fundraiser with the proceeds going towards the beautification of the Wunderkammer Company courtyard space. Currently the space has the beginnings of a flower and vegetable garden, surrounded by murals by local artists. We are looking to further the development by adding more plants and artwork. Food will be provided by CS3.

Later in the day (beginning at 3pm) CS3 will be providing a cash bar, and there will be a line up of bands performing for the Artist and Neighborhood Block Party portion of the day. We’re gathering to celebrate Wunderkammer gathering the most community votes in our partnership with Artlink during the Fort Side Story competition. The winner of the competition has the honor of hosting the Artist & Neighborhood
Block Party, but there are no hurt feelings as this is a celebration of our entire arts community. Join your favorite local artists and neighborhood friends as this is not only an artist’s block party, but also the official block party of the Oakdale Neighborhood! There will be chalk drawing for the kids, and other
art activities throughout the day.

So come out, buy some local wares, grab a bite to eat for a good cause, and hang out with us at Wunderkammer!
