Mama Jane Harris has brought a couple of new items with her to this year’s Three Rivers Festival.
Harris has the Funnel Cake trailer on the Three Rivers Festival Junk Food Alley, which opens tomorrow, Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11 am. The festival runs through Saturday, July 19, 2014.
The first item we’ll look at is the twist on a traditional favorite – the Upside-Down, Inside-Out Pineapple Funnel Cake.
These are good, but I’m afraid I have a new favorite: Deep Fried Red Velvet Oreos.
These things melt in your mouth – even the hard cookie is no longer hard, but soft and oozing after it’s trip through the deep fryer. Top it with powder sugar and Mama Jane’s rich cream cheese based icing and you have a winner!!
