Over two decades old, the Covington Art Fair has positioned itself as one of the top art fairs in the region. This year’s edition features around 80 local and regional artists and 85 booths occupied with a treasure trove of art.
“A lot of love and work goes into this fair each year—by us and the artists themselves,” says Larry Wardlaw, vice president for account services at Asher Agency who coordinates the event. “We’re definitely not a craft show. The Covington Art Fair is a juried event, meaning you’ll find a lot of top-notch pieces—some of which you can’t find anywhere else.”
Showcased mediums include watercolors, photography, pottery, jewelry, oils, mixed media, textiles, woodworking, and more. Many of the pieces are one-of-a-kind. Covington Plaza shop owners also invite art fair attendees into their stores, some of which will feature special promotions and/or merchandise. Local jazz musicians will provide the soundtrack throughout the weekend; look for them in front of Planet Fitness.
This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
