Fort Wayne Country Club among select group of nominees for national award

(June 4, 2014) — Fort Wayne Country Club is among a select group of private clubs nationwide – and the only club in Indiana – nominated for an exclusive designation recognizing overall achievement and service excellence.

Platinum Clubs® of America, the nation’s leading authority in private club excellence, placed Fort Wayne Country Club on its preliminary ballot for inclusion in its biannual Platinum Clubs listing, which recognizes private clubs throughout the U.S. for overall excellence. Fort Wayne Country Club is the only Indiana club and one of only 220 nationwide to be included on the ballot for 2014 recognition.

“It is an incredible honor for our board, our members and our staff to be included in this prestigious list of some of the best and most iconic clubs in America,” said John Feighner, president of the club’s board of directors. “Because inclusion on this list is reserved for only those clubs providing an overall outstanding and comprehensive level of member experience, it is a tribute to the incredible effort put forth each and every day by every member of the team at Fort Wayne Country Club.”

Nominees on the Platinum Clubs ballot are ranked across a wide range of criteria covering virtually all aspects of the club experience, including amenities and conditions; quality and caliber of staff; history and reputation; adaptability; membership; governance; and overall experience. Clubs earning Platinum Clubs recognition in 2012 included Congressional Country Club in Maryland, Los Angeles Country Club, the Olympic Club in San Francisco, and Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.
