The Downtown Improvement District kicks off annual Lunch on the Square concert series

(May 9, 2014) – The Downtown Improvement District is bringing its popular Lunch on the Square concert series back to Downtown Fort Wayne. Free weekly concerts will take place every Thursday in June, July and August from 12:00p.m. – 1:30p.m.

The annual concert series takes over the courtyard at One Summit Square (on the corner of Wayne and Calhoun Streets) with live music for people to enjoy outside during their lunch hour. The weekly event kicks off on Thursday, June 5th with the music of Shade & Shannon at 12:00p.m. Grab lunch to-go at one of the many downtown restaurants or food trucks and come celebrate the start of summer with the Downtown Improvement District!

New Time: Same great event with a great new time. Beginning June 5th Lunch on the Square will be programmed from 12:00p.m. – 1:30p.m.

Fort Wayne’s Famer’s Market: The Downtown Improvement District is pleased to announce a collaboration with Fort Wayne’s Farmer’s Market for its 2014 season! Vendors with FWFM will be setting up at One Summit Square Thursdays in June, July and August for even more fun activity in the heart of our city. Grab some lunch, enjoy great local music and browse for unique goods and gifts.
