Hotel Fitness® Showcases its Golf and Community Sponsorships at Three Rivers Festival Parade & Raft Race
(May 23, 2014) – Hotel Fitness®, a division of Brigadoon Fitness, announced today that it is sponsoring the Three Rivers Festival Raft Race on July 19 at 1 p.m. on the St. Marys River in downtown Fort Wayne. As part of its sponsorship, the company will also participate in the Lutheran Health Network Parade along the 2-mile stretch beginning on Van Buren St. by St. Joseph Hospital and ending along Calhoun St. on July 12 from 9:45 a.m. to noon.
Kristi O’Brien, a professional golfer on the Symetra Tour (LPGA Developmental Tour) and competitor on the Golf Channel’s “Big Break Florida” reality show, will ride along in the Hotel Fitness Rolls Royce during the parade.
“We’re proud to participate in two of the most anticipated events during Fort Wayne’s biggest summer party,” said Kevin Feldman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Hotel Fitness. “Kristi grew up in Fort Wayne and is a great ambassador for the community and our organization. We’re excited to partner with Kristi and support her as she continues to chase her dreams. ”
In 2013, Bruce Dye, CEO of Hotel Fitness, brought the popular Raft Race back to Fort Wayne following a 15 year hiatus. Thousands of spectators lined the Saint Marys riverbanks and bridges to welcome back The Raft Race to the festival. Nearly 70 rafts and 400 sailors took to the water for a memorable day with $14,000 in prizes given out.
Hotel Fitness is also title sponsor of the Hotel Fitness Championship, being held Aug. 25-31 at Sycamore Hills Golf Club. The tournament is one of four Web.com Tour Finals events for 2014 that will determine the 50 players who earn cards for the 2014-15 PGA TOUR season under the TOUR’s enhanced qualifying system.
