Stabbing Investigation
Date: Tuesday, May 20, 2014
Time: 11:45 p.m.
Location: 7911 Decatur Road
Victim: Adult Female
Details: Fort Wayne Police responded 7911 Decatur Road at approximately 11:45 p.m. this evening on a reported stabbing. Officers arrived to find an adult female suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was transported from the scene in serious condition but once at the hospital her condition was downgraded to critical.
Investigators have determined that a domestic disturbance between the victim and a male adult occurred prior to the stabbing. The adult male was still at the scene when officers arrived, he is presently being questioned by detectives at police headquarters. Both the victim and the suspect have been in a relationship however it’s not believed the two are married. Charges will be filed in this incident once the interview process has concluded.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police, Allen County Prosecutors office and the Allen County Coroners office.
