Summit City Baconfest
Pork for Parks!(April 25, 2014) – Friends of the Parks of Allen County invite adults 21 and older to Summit City Baconfest on Tuesday, May 20, 5:30 – 8:30 pm at Headwaters Park Lincoln Pavilion.
Tickets are only $45 and each ticket includes two drinks and samples of bacon creations from over a dozen local restaurants. Visit our web page for a list of our participating restaurants. As a parting gift, all guests will receive a sapling to plant at their home, to encourage the growth of our tree canopy. For an additional fee, guests may purchase additional alcoholic beverage tickets. A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $100 per person. VIP ticket holders will have reserved seating and reserved parking in the lot adjacent to the pavilion.
G-Money and the Fabulous Rhythm will provide musical entertainment during the event.
Tickets may be purchased starting next week by calling 260-427-6000, or by visiting the Parks & Recreation Department at 705 E. State Blvd., Mon – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, or online from our website www.summitcitybaconfest.com.
All the proceeds from this fundraising event will support the parks of Fort Wayne and Allen County, Indiana. The mission of Friends of the Parks is to promote the stewardship and celebration of the scenic, historic, and recreational resources of the parks and public spaces in Fort Wayne and Allen County.
