Marking its 22nd year, the 2014 World Human Resources Development Congress recognized the efforts of organizations that have demonstrated excellence through their innovative programs, showing clear and measurable business results to drive organizational excellence.

The global event, which honors excellence in organizational human resource development practices, saw a congregation of over 200 organizations from over 130 countries. The evaluation process for the awards involved an initial screening by an Academic Council, followed by a Professional Council and a final live presentation before a jury of nationally and internationally recognized professionals.

Carboni was honored for his work in developing the PRiSM project management methodology, P5 Standard for Sustainability in Project Management, the training programs that bring the methodology to life and currently in use in over 125 countries.

“It is a great honor to win this award at the prestigious World HRD Congress event,” Carboni noted. “This is a true testament to our commitment to the development of green and sustainable project management training programs, methods and certification. I am both humbled and excited to receive this award on behalf of our organization, in light of the fact that we have been in existence for such a short time span relative to other mature project management associations. As GPM continues our rapid growth, we will strive towards introducing and implementing ‘best of class’ methods, and to fulfilling our commitment as global citizens to the United Nations Global Compact, promoting the ten principles of sustainable development across every corner of the globe.”

Founded by Carboni in 2009 in Fort Wayne, GPM® is the world’s first project management professional development organization with a focus on sustainability. The company has operations in over 125 countries in partnership with leading universities, professional training organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
