…HEAVY SNOW POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF THE AREA THIS WEEKEND…

A COUPLE OF LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE ALONG A SLOW MOVING FRONTAL BOUNDARY TO OUR SOUTH TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. THE FIRST OF THESE SYSTEMS WILL CAUSE SNOW OVERNIGHT AND INTO SUNDAY MORNING ACROSS NORTHERN INDIANA… NORTHWEST OHIO…AND THE ADJACENT COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN MICHIGAN WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES EXPECTED ACROSS MOST OF THIS AREA DURING THIS TIMEFRAME. THE SECOND LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM SHOULD MAINLY IMPACT AREAS SOUTH OF ROUTE 24 WITH AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW POSSIBLE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY NIGHT IN THAT AREA…BRINGING STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS TO 6 TO 9 INCHES ACROSS THE WINTER STORM WATCH AREA.

* SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE 3 TO 5 INCHES ACROSS NORTHERN INDIANA… NORTHWEST OHIO… AND THE ADJACENT COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN MICHIGAN TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES ALONG A FRONTAL BOUNDARY OVER THE OHIO VALLEY. A SECOND LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ALONG THIS SLOW MOVING FRONT ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY NIGHT AND MAY CAUSE AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW SOUTH OF ROUTE 24…BRINGING STORM TOTALS IN THE WATCH AREA TO 6 TO 9 INCHES. UNCERTAINTY REMAINS ESPECIALLY ON THE TRACK OF THE SECOND LOW… AND THUS ON TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS.
