A cold and snowy week ahead!

Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:

A cold and snowy week ahead!

(December 30, 2013) – Lake effect snow showers will taper off this morning as arctic high pressure builds over the region. A cold day is expected with highs only in the upper teens to mid 20s. Another weak clipper system will move across the area overnight, bringing light snow mainly north of US 30. Accumulations will be in the dusting to 2 inch range with highest amounts near Lake Michigan. Focus then turns to the potential for a winter storm late New Years Eve into Thursday with the possibility of significant snow accumulations. Exact development and track of this system are still uncertain so please stay tuned to future forecasts, especially if you have holiday travel plans!
