Santa to be escorted courtesy of the Southwest Fire Department(December 10, 2013) – On Thursday, Dec. 12, Santa Claus will make a special appearance to willing and able pediatric patients receiving care at Lutheran Children’s Hospital, but he will arrive in an unusual fashion—by fire truck. Firefighters from the Southwest Fire Department will escort Santa at 2:30 p.m. to the front circle turn at the hospital’s main entrance of Lutheran Hospital.
Shortly after his festive arrival on campus, Santa will be whisked upstairs to visit both outpatient and inpatient pediatric units.
Media are invited to capture the moments shared between Santa and patients. Free parking is available in the south parking garage across from the Lutheran Cancer Center.
