IPFW TRiO Upward Bound Donates Piñatas to Botanical Conservatory

(November 22, 2013) – Every year the Botanical Conservatory decorates their Desert Garden with piñatas that are handmade from various community groups in an exhibit called “Piñata Paradise.” This year, the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) TRiO Upward Bound group has participated.

Each of the 10 piñatas that TRiO Upward Bound donated were designed, constructed, decorated, and filled by the students. The piñatas will be on display November 23-December 8. After they are taken off display the piñatas will be donated to groups that serve underprivileged children in Allen County.
TRiO Upward Bound is a yearround student development and college preparatory program that helps students realize their college dreams.
