Stutzman Congratulates Senator Richard Lugar for Receiving Presidential Medal of Freedom
(November 20, 2013) Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman issued the following statement today, congratulating Senator Richard Lugar on receiving the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
“During his years of service, Senator Lugar embodied the spirit of civility and resolve that Hoosiers expect. Indiana’s distinguished statesman protected American security at home and made the world a safer place by reducing the threat of weapons of mass destruction. Like so many Hoosiers across our great state, I congratulate Senator Lugar, celebrate this well-deserved honor, and offer my thanks for his lasting achievements.”
