Regional Workforce Investment Board hires director of communications

(September 5, 2013) – Rick Farrant, an award-winning editor, writer and marketing professional, has joined the Northeast Indiana Regional Workforce Investment Board as director of communications.

Farrant was most recently a writer for Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly.

He also worked as an editor and writer for such publications as The Denver Post, Time magazine and the Journal Gazette; is the author of a best-selling book published by HarperCollins; was the director of marketing and communications for United Way of Allen County; and has experience in marketing and fundraising strategic planning.

At the nonprofit workforce investment board, Farrant will be responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications, branding, and general corporate and community outreach efforts.
