Vote for Johnny TinCap In MiLB Mascot Challenge
Mascot Mania Opens With Battle of Midwest League Representatives
(July 18, 2013) – Fort Wayne TinCaps mascot Johnny TinCap is squaring off against the other 15 mascots of the Midwest league for the title of “Best in the Midwest”. Fans are encouraged to vote for Johnny on Twitter or by selecting Johnny in an online ballot. If Johnny defeats his Midwest League mascot brethren by gathering the most votes by August 1st, he will then square off against the winners from the other 13 leagues in Minor League Baseball for the title of Best Mascot in Minor League Baseball.
Fans are encouraged to rally behind their hometown mascot by voting online as many times as they can or by re-tweeting the daily tweet from the TinCaps containing #mascotmania and @TinCaps. There is no limit to the number of votes that can be submitted by individual fans.
Every time you vote you will be entered to win prizes provided by various teams across the country, as well as prizes from MiLB.com, like MLB.TV subscriptions, MiLB.TV subscriptions, MLB.com Shop gift cards & MiLB.com Shop gift cards.
The first round of the contest will run through August 1st, at which time the second round will begin. The champion will be crowned August 8th. Fans can access the online ballot via link below. It is not necessary to vote in every league to submit a ballot.
