News release from the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo:
Educator Appreciation Night at the Zoo July 31
(July 17, 2013) – Area educators and homeschool parents are invited to an evening of education, exploring, and fun at the zoo’s annual Educator Appreciation Night, Wednesday, July 31 from 4:00 -7:00 PM.
Participants will enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, mini-workshops, and special activities as they learn about zoo animals and the many school programs offered by the zoo. Teachers can receive 3 Professional Growth Plan (PGP) points. Admission is free with pre-registration.
Educators must register in advance by e-mailing their name, grade level, county, and school to education@kidszoo.org or by calling 260-427-6808.
Note: Free admission with pre-registration applies to Educators and Homeschool Parents only. The workshops and activities at Educator Appreciation Night are designed for adults. Participants are asked to be considerate of other attendees and not bring children to the event.

The zoo is open April 20-October 13, 2013. Admission is $13.50 for adults; $10.50 for seniors age 60+; and $8.50 for children ages 2-14. Babies age 1 and under and Zoo Society Members are admitted free.
