Wednesday’s Home Game to be Free of Peanut-Related Products(July 16, 2013) – The Fort Wayne TinCaps are proud to announce that their game on Wednesday, July 17th, at Parkview Field will be a peanut-free game. No peanuts or peanut-related products will be sold, and special efforts have been made to clean the ballpark to rid it of any peanut residue, in order to make it the most accommodating environment possible for TinCaps fans with peanut allergies.
For one game each season, the TinCaps remove all forms of peanuts and any foods prepared with or near peanuts or peanut oils so that fans can enjoy not just the concessions, but the game, too, without any worry.
“We’re pleased to welcome fans of all ages who have peanut allergies to Parkview Field,” said TinCaps Vice President of Marketing, Michael Limmer. “With TinCaps baseball, ‘It’s All About You’, and this is another way that we’re glad to be able to incorporate every member of our community into the ballpark experience.”

Chapman Salads (include pecans, but is packaged in a plant that has peanuts), peanuts, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, peanut and regular M&M’s, Reese’s Pieces candy, select ice cream toppings (packaged with peanuts), and vanilla and crunch dibs (packaged with peanuts). Additionally, the spring rolls served on the suite level will not be served that night and the brownies, usually topped with chopped nuts, will be nut-free.
