TinCaps Announce Roster Moves: June 23rd

(June 23, 2013)- The Fort Wayne TinCaps, in conjunction with the San Diego Padres, announced the following roster moves today:

RHP Bryan Rodriguez activated from the disabled list. Rodriguez, 21, had been on the disabled list since June 13th. He is 1-1 with a 2.86 ERA in seven games (three starts) over 22 innings of work. Rodriguez is the scheduled starter in today’s game against West Michigan.

LHP Chris Nunn placed on the disabled list, retroactive to Friday, June 22nd. Nunn, 22, is tied for the Midwest League lead with 30 appearances. The reliever is 6-0 with a 2.48 ERA in 36 1/3 innings.

RHP Ruben Mejia activated from the disabled list. Mejia, 21, had been on the disabled list since May 25th. He is 2-5 with a 3.58 ERA in 11 games (5 starts) this season with the TinCaps.

Infielder Felix Cabrera released. In 10 games this season with Fort Wayne, the 23-year-old Cabrera hit .161 with no home runs and one run batted in. In five professional seasons, all with San Diego, Cabrera hit .216 with four home runs and 55 runs batted in.

The Fort Wayne roster currently stands at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.
