Death Investigation

Date/Time of Incident: June 4, 2013/4:41 p.m.

Location of Incident: 2700 Maudlin Drive, Fort Wayne, IN

Victim #1: Adult Male – Pronounced dead at the scene

Suspect #1: Male/black, 5’10”, 150 pounds – Last seen wearing a Gray Hooded Sweatshirt and dark pants

Suspect #2: Male/black – Seated in the Red Cadillac

Suspect Vehicle: Red, possible 1990’s, smaller Cadillac, with a white Landau top, possibly missing emblem on the passenger side

On June 4, 2013 at 4:41 p.m., officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the 2700 block of Mauldin in reference to a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male, seated in the driver’s seat of a blue Chevrolet 4-door car. Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Witnesses reported that a male/black, 5’10”, 150 pounds ran from the scene northbound and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. A second suspect, a heavy set, male/black was seen driving a Red, 1990’s Cadillac with a white top, possibly missing an emblem on the passengers side, was seen driving eastbound from the scene after the shooting.

Anyone with information about his vehicle or the suspects is requested to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

Detectives and Crime Scene Techs of the Fort Wayne Police Department, representatives of the Allen County Coroner’s Office and Allen County Prosecutor’s Office were notified and arrived to investigate. More information is expected after an autopsy is performed on the deceased victim.

The name of the deceased victim will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. Also, the exact cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
